“Visit many books, but live in the Bible.” C.H. Spurgeon

We at Theologetics.org believe the Holy Bible is not only recommended reading but required reading. It should be read by all believers and all believers should be knowledgeable when it comes to its contents. There are many tactics the enemy uses to attack us and we need not be ignorant on how to defeat him. The Holy Scriptures is the “Sword of the Spirit” (Ephesians 6) that we use to fight against the attacks of Satan. Jesus himself used scripture to defeat the devil during His wilderness experience (Matthew 4:1-11). The more we know scripture and how to properly apply it, the better equipped for battle we are.

While we believe that no book outside of the Canon is perfect, the Bible is the litmus test that proves if any other book is doctrinally sound. That being said, here is a list of books dealing in theology and apologetics that we recommend for your edification.
